Superior Resins for Solid Phase Peptide Synthesis


OctaGel™ resins are new effective and affordable peptide synthesis resins from AAPPTec.  OctaGel™ ™ resins are highly uniform with PEG chains bonded perpendicular to the resin surface.  The interaction of the PEG chains with the peptide during synthesis minimizes the risk of peptide deletions and chain termination during synthesis.  The results are higher yields and purer peptides.

OctaGel™  resins are an excellent choice for difficult deprotection and coupling steps.  OctaGel™  Rink Amide resin out-performed standard Rink Amide resin and high-performance, high-cost ChemMatrix resin in a side-by-side synthesis of the “difficult” Aib-ACP (65-74) decapeptide (S Ramkisson, YE Jad, A Sharma, BG de la Torre, F Albericio, Lett.Org. Chem. 2019, 16, 935-940).

OctaGel™  Rink Amide resin is comparable in price to standard Rink Amide Resins, unlike other high-performance resins that are three to four times more costly.  Considering that they produce higher purity peptides in greater yield, OctaGel™  resins are especially economical.
